The temples in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom present a number of different challenges that the game offers. Some of them test your fighting skills, some of them ask you to create videos, and some of them simply test your dexterity. And then you get to temples like Mayachin Temple, which feel more like mini-games than real challenges. The game has you trying to throw a ball at a target using some Zonai Stakes and some handy poles, and it can be a tricky game. However, with our help, you’ll be hitting home runs in no time.

When you enter this temple, you will first see a large void. In the middle there will be a spinning device with a platform attached – use this to jump to the other side. This is where you will be faced with the real puzzle of the temple. The object of this shrine is to smash one of the incoming balls into the large target that appears when you stand on a nearby button. To do this, you will need to create a bat in the device on the ground in front of you. One solution to this puzzle is to create a bat by first placing the Stake on the face of the rotating device and then attaching the two poles, end-to-end, to the Stake. Now, when you press the switch on the lifting platform to activate the rotating device, it will swing the ‘bat’.

Using this stick, time the switch so that you hit the ball as it is rolling toward you. It may take a few tries to get the timing right, but you should be able to hit it with enough force to hit the target. Hitting the target on the left will unlock the exit. To reveal the target on the right, you first need to remove the dangling metal plate. To do this, take a different Stakes than the one you used to craft the stick and place it on the roof of the floating platform where the console is dangling. Then use the Ultrahand to lift it up and attach it to the Stake, keeping it out of the way.

Once you have detected the second target, you can use the bat swing device again. Switch sides and you’ll be able to simply hit the ball rolling towards another target. This will reveal a chest containing a Vitality Potion. With that, the temple was completed.
