Fan “embarrassed” by Tumi’s leadership on Below Deck Med: “It doesn’t look good” 2023

Tumi returns to Below Deck Med as Chief Stew. However, after a heated argument with Natalya, fans thought Tumi was too hot-tempered.

Tumi returned to Season 8 of Below Deck Med as Chief Stew. Tumi was a fan favorite in previous seasons thanks to her charming personality and friendly nature. So when she got on the boat and immediately started acting out with Natalya, the audience was shocked.

According to Below Deck fans, the treatment Natalya received from Tumi felt undeserved.

Unfortunately, Tumi was prevented from entering the country so she arrived late to the cruise. Meanwhile, Natalya has taken on the role of Head Stew. Despite the tension, everyone ultimately praised Natalya and the crew for their successful first flight.

However, fans believe that Tumi is “too hot” to assert dominance as the frontrunner. Unfortunately, her attempt to establish order backfired, causing a heated argument between Tumi and Natalya.

“I have only been working in this industry for a very short time,” Tumi said in her confessional. “One thing that scares me is whether the film crew will respect me or not.” She went on to say, “I don’t want to be disrespected, but I don’t want to demand respect. That’s where my struggle comes in.”

Unfortunately, Tumi’s attempt to assert herself as Head Stew went too far in fan opinion after she seemed to criticize Natalya’s work in the first charter.

“I felt like Natalya was very kind that Tumi had everything ready before she got on the ship and she was very positive when talking about the boat,” one fan wrote on the Below Deck Instagram page. “Tumi had a bit of a negative result, which surprised me, because she didn’t play like that last season…”

Another fan agreed and wrote: “I like Tumi, but the way she entered was so rude and inappropriate.” They added, “Natalya has a big personality, but she’s been nothing but positive and Tumi has been so rude from the start.”

On the Below Deck subreddit, one fan pointed out how “embarrassed” they were by Tumi’s leadership, calling it “Not a good look.”
