An aging couple may be starting a new wave for other older couples looking for an affordable living environment as they age.

Additionally, Marty told A Current Affair that he and his wife no longer have to worry about making their bed. “Now, we don’t need to bathe or make the bed anymore,” he said. We don’t know how to make a bed because we haven’t done it for a long time, so now we have to stay on the ship to survive.”

Having been on the Princess Cruise ship for so long, it’s no surprise that the Ansen family are also starting to gain recognition, as they told A Current Affair that they were able to bond with the crew members and those who had listen to their stories.

The Ansen people also had no intention of leaving the ship. They will cruise for another eight months with Princess Cruises and at least another year after that on a private cruise ship. And even though they do it to save money, Marty can’t help but admit that he’s actually living a “great life.”
