A Season 5 contestant is currently suing Netflix’s Love Is Blind production company over allegations of sexual assault.
When it comes to Love Is Blind, there’s never a time when the popular dating show doesn’t make headlines.
Sometimes, it’s for good reason, like the touching love stories of couples who successfully dated in private, like Lauren and Cameron in Season 1.
In other cases, contestants criticized the film’s production company Kinetic Content and accused them of wrongdoing.
Some of the claims over the years include a lack of food for contestants and a failure to provide mental health care during filming.
Now, Season 5 unfortunately brings up another allegation against the crew. This time it revolves around the issue of sexual assault.

Is there a lawsuit against the production of Season 5 of Love Is Blind?
On October 6, Deadline reported that season 5 contestant Tran Dang is suing Kinetic Content for failing to protect her during an incident that happened between her and bandmate Thomas Smith.
The reality star alleges that not only did Thomas sexually assault her, but the entire incident was recorded by producers.
“Filings from Houston law firm Wallace & Allen LLP detail that ‘due to Delirium TV and Kinetic Content’s 24-hour surveillance of Plaintiff and Defendant Smith, most if not all of these traumatic acts are all filmed by the production team and within their knowledge’ ” shared the store.
Deadline has revealed that Kinetic’s Chris Coelen has responded to the allegations and denied any wrongdoing on their part.
He said, “Their journey was not scripted, nor was it filmed around the clock. We have no knowledge or control over what happens in private living spaces when not filming, and participants can choose to end their journey at any time.”
As of now, no other Season 5 stars have publicly responded to the lawsuit.
