Love is Blind seems to have learned from its past mistakes and refused to go live for the Season 5 reunion.
Love is Blind ends each season with a live reunion special in which the co-stars get all their drama out.
However, after the criticism the hit reality series received during its previous live reunions, the showrunners decided to pre-tap the Season 5 reunion in an effort to avoid Last season’s mistakes.
Die-hard fans of the dating show are now laughing at Netflix’s refusal to re-air the reunion special after the disastrous Season 4.
Why wasn’t the Love is Blind season 5 reunion streamed live?
Nick and Vanessa Lachey from Love is Blind received a lot of backlash for their previous hosting of live reunion shows.
According to fans of the show, they are unhappy that Nick and Vanessa seem to show favoritism towards their co-stars instead of remaining professionally neutral.
Furthermore, Vanessa’s insistence on knowing whether the contestants will have their first “Love is Blind baby” upset many viewers because many believe this is a sensitive and private topic. While some couples may not want children, others may be struggling with fertility issues and don’t want to discuss such a private topic for the world to overhear.
To avoid mistakes from previous seasons, this reunion will not be recorded live. Fans of the show found the concept quite hilarious considering how poorly Netflix’s knowledge of the last reunion was perceived. Now, the show is almost running a joke and fans can’t help but laugh along with the promo.
“Smartest decision they made all season, lmao,” one fan wrote on the Love is Blind Subreddit.
Another fan agreed, writing: “I really respect them for leaning on last year’s group and making fun of themselves…”
“lmfaoooo no because that live broadcast was such a mess!” added another fan.
Stay tuned for more Love is Blind only on Netflix.
