Streaming star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has signed a non-exclusive deal with Kick as he will now split his streaming time between there and Twitch.
Kick has been making waves in the streaming world over the past year, presenting a real challenge to Twitch’s dominance.
The Stake-backed platform has signed a number of streamers to non-exclusive deals – which allows them to still stream elsewhere – and some of them are extremely profitable High. Without a doubt, the highest profile to date is Kick signing xQc in a $100 million deal.
They haven’t made much of a splash since the former Overwatch star signed a non-exclusive deal, but that’s changed now that they have NICKMERCS joining them for at least a year.
NICKMERCS signs one-year streaming deal with Kick
That’s right, the MFAM frontman will be joining Kick for at least a year as he becomes the latest name to sign a non-exclusive contract.
While he has the flexibility to stream on both platforms, the “vast majority” of Nick’s livestreams will now be on Kick. That includes his first event, which will take place on Monday, October 23 after the conclusion of his MFAM Central event in Las Vegas.
“Building a community is all I ever wanted to do,” said the FaZe Clan star. “By expanding on Kick.com, I will be able to reach new audiences and welcome even more fans to MFAM. We’ll compete on big stages, host great events, and share new content in new ways. This is an important step for me and I can’t wait to share this new experience with the community. It’s all for them.”
Nick will also be hosting some of his signature MFAM Gauntlet events on Kick, which can now have a bigger prize pool thanks to the big move he’s made.
Streaming on Kick will also allow him to reunite with streamers like Dr Dispect, who he has been unable to appear on Twitch with due to Doc’s long-term ban. So, fans can look forward to that as well.
