Actor Emily Blunt has apologized after a clip resurfaced from a 2012 talk show showing her body-shaming a server at the infamous restaurant chain Chili’s.

In 2023, the star once again made headlines with his starring role in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster hit Oppenheimer.
Her growing popularity has led to a wave of new fans going back to watch old clips of the star. However, one person in particular came back to bite her, forcing her to publicly apologize.
Emily Blunt apologizes after body shaming Chili’s server
In an interview with People, Emily Blunt issued an apology for her previous statements in 2012 after a video resurfaced.
In the clip, she can be heard saying: “The girl that served us was amazing, you know, I think she got a free meal at Chili’s.”
After receiving backlash online for her “shaming” actions, she apologized. “I just had to address this head-on because my jaw dropped when I saw this clip from 12 years ago,” Blunt wrote.
She added: “I am appalled that I would say something insensitive, hurtful and unrelated to any story I was trying to tell on a talk show.”

The original clip was shared from a YouTube video of her appearance on top UK talk show The Jonathon Ross Show. She was a guest on the show to promote her hit movie Looper, where she shared a story about when she visited a Chili’s restaurant while filming.
Emily Blunt will reprise her co-lead role in the sequel to her and Tom Cruise’s iconic sci-fi film Edge Of Tomorrow 2.
