Please note that India will compete in only 11 sports at the FISU World University Games 2023, including athletics, badminton, judo, fencing, shooting, table tennis, swimming, taekwondo, volleyball and tennis racket. In 2023, India won a total of 17 medals in the FISU World University Games. Shooters Elavenil Valarivan and Manu Bhaker won gold medals in the women’s 10m air rifle and air rifle events, respectively, to open the medals table for India. On the opening day of the event, Manu Bhaker topped the podium in the women’s 10m air pistol event along with Abhidnya Ashok Patil and Yashaswini Deswal.
