Canada’s Got Talent is a Canadian reality television talent show, which debuted on the Citytv network on March 4, 2012. It is part of the global Got Talent franchise. As with other series in the series, the show is a competition in which entertainers in various fields compete for prizes. The show is produced by McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc. and Fremantle combined with Citytv, a division of Roger Sports & Media based on the Got Talent format owned by Fremantle and SYCO Entertainment.

Citytv provides viewers with diverse and local content through seven television stations in Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Saskatchewan and Montreal, along with the award-winning Citytv app, available on iOS , Samsung Tv, Android, Apple Tv and Fire TV devices.
Auditions take place in front of judges and live audiences in various cities across Canada. At any time during the audition, the judges will show their disapproval of the action by ringing the bell, which will illuminate a large red “X” on the stage. If all judges ring the bell, the match must end. Voting takes place on a double-majority basis, where two positive votes from the jury are required.

On Tuesday night’s new episode of Canada’s Got Talent season 2, a young singer named Maya Gamzu impressed judge Kardinal Offishall so much that he won her the Golden Buzzer award. She will go straight to the semi-finals.
