An excited Australian couple went viral on TikTok after they discovered a bottle washed up on the beach with a text attached. However, they were horrified after opening it.

Rick and Crystal were walking on a beach in North Queensland, Australia when they found a mysterious clear bottle washed ashore.

Expecting to find a love letter or a message from a new friend inside, the couple excitedly filmed themselves picking up a jar with a note. However, the couple regretted it immediately after opening it.

When Rick poured what he thought was sand into the bottle, Crystal read the attached text: “These are Geoffrey’s ashes. If you find them, please throw the bottle in when the tide goes out so I can continue my journey.” your submission”.

“Oh no,” Rick said miserably after discovering that he had just dumped someone’s ashes on the beach. “OOOPS SORRY GEOFF,” the couple wrote on the video, which quickly went viral with more than 1.8 million views.
