A woman took to TikTok after discovering her Red Lobster pasta was alive and crawling after being unexpectedly garnished with parsley and snails.

Red Lobster is an American food chain with many restaurants opening worldwide and famous for its seafood.

However, one woman got more than she bargained for after her pasta dish arrived with some extra toppings she wasn’t expecting.

Marquita, who goes by the name ‘mashunnacollection’ on TikTok, took to social media after spotting some snails crawling across her meal. ‘

“Look what’s in my food at Red Lobster!” Marquita overwrote the video while she showed her pasta moving too much for comfort. “What was in my food at Red Lobster!? SNAIL?”

The video has garnered more than 1.4 million views, with many shocked viewers flocking to the comments section to express their outrage and offer Marquita some advice.

“Now I need to stare at my food and watch for any insects as it becomes ice cold. [and] I will eventually box it up [and] Eat it later if there are no bugs,” one person wrote. Another said: “It’s definitely fruit fly larvae. Maggots, basically.”

The third part focuses more on how the creepy crawlies got into the pasta in the first place; “If all those things were cooked in boiling water/[sauteed] IN [a] The pan is hot, what the hell? [did] those things [get] there?”

TikTok: mashunnacollection Upon closer inspection, the pasta was garnished with parsley and snails.

However, a Red Lobster employee seems to have the answer; “I work at Red Lobster. This happened to us [and they] It’s all in the parsley that we garnish on top of everything [because] it is not cleaned up.”

Many believe this is exactly what happened with Marquita’s meal, with the snails accompanied by some old parsley. She gave a small update to viewers, revealing that Red Lobster’s regional manager offered her an alternative meal, which she declined.

“I said no thank you and I wanted to talk to someone higher up,” Marquita wrote in the comments section of his video. Although she also reached out to Red Lobster via social media, the food chain has not yet responded.
