The famous Mughal Garden was recently renamed “Amrit Udyan” to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence. This new name replaces the previous name associated with one of India’s longest-reigning dynasties. Due to the Mughal architecture, these gardens are named after the longest reigning dynasties. According to reports, Lady Hardinge appointed British architect Sir Edward Lutyens to build it.
Every year, in February, this Amrit garden opens its doors to local tourists and visitors from all over the world to admire the beauty of this garden. The report said that in this garden, people can see all kinds of flowers and trees. However, keep in mind that people are not allowed to pick flowers or any fruits. When will Amrit Udyan (Mughal Garden) open to the public?
According to reports, President Droupadi Murmu will finally open the Amrit Udyan garden. The public is warmly welcomed from Tuesday, January 31, 2023 to March 2023 in the lush and beautiful garden with many wonderful and enchanting flowers. However, the garden will be closed for a few days which we will mention below:-
- Monday- Because of maintenance
- March 18, 2023- Because of Holi
- March 28 – March 31- On these days, special groups will be able to access the gardens
How to book Rashtrapati Bhavan Mughal Garden tickets?
People can book tickets online and for that they need to visit rb.nic.in/rbvisit/visit_plan.aspx or rapatisachivalaya.gov.in
Those who don’t know how to register online can walk in directly but before that, they need to enter the gate and register at the information desk and self-service kiosks. People can find these tables at gate number 12 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. But remember that the garden has limited capacity so it’s best to book your tickets online. Garden visit time is from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm. There are no booking fees, meaning anyone can visit here. However, you will have to bring any identification with you.
