Going into the contest, Krizanek was considered the favorite. His excellent performance confirmed that belief. He moved to the Pro League in 2022 after participating in the IFBB Elite Pro for a number of years, taking first place at that year’s Prague Pro. Hadi Choopan won Mr. Olympia that year, finishing in 12th place. Those there said that Krizanek was in the best health of his Pro League career. It resulted in a second trip for him to the Olympics. Andrea Presti came in second place and was in excellent shape.
The winner of the Classic Physique competition was German Pastor Cueto, commonly known as German Pastor. Thanks to his win at the Musclecontest Ireland Pro 2023, he automatically qualifies for Olympia 2023. This is Cueto’s second professional and season-long win. According to IFBB Pro League rules, no qualification will be granted if the pro show champion has already qualified for the Olympia. Antoine Loth, the runner-up, and David Martinez Campos, the bronze medalist, will therefore have to win another tournament to qualify for Orlando. Skotzen recently finished second at the Toronto Pro Supershow 2023. Her first professional win earned her a spot in the Women’s Physique Olympia competition in 2023 as the ninth competitor. If she participates, it will be her first Olympics.
Jennifer Zienert’s third professional performance of the 2023 season happened like a charm. She received a unanimous first-place vote from the judges, earning her second professional win since 2021. By winning the silver medal, Nadine Claudia Huber showed she has what it takes needed to win a professional championship before the end of the season. The only champion to play for the host country in this tournament is Escandar. The jury chose Escandar, who had previously qualified for the Olympics despite arriving late, as the winner. This class also did not earn a spot at the Olympia as she won the Bigman Weekend Pro in 2022. Leonida Ciobu won the wellness competition, making her the 11th participant to win a spot to the Healthcare Olympics in 2023. She is one of two Spanish athletes to date to have qualified for the competition; the other was Sandra Colorado Acal, who finished in second place. Orlando Pro 2023, taking place on Saturday July 1, 2023 in Orlando, FL, is the next Men’s Open event on the IFBB 2023 program. So stay tuned for pkb news.
