She was a 2018 WGCA First-Class All-American, SEC Golfer of the Year and an ANNIKA Award winner at the University of Arkansas, where she also won the individual NCAA Division I Women’s Championship 2019 and received the Honda Sports Award. In 2016 and 2018, she received a sponsor’s exemption to the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship and made six LPGA Tour starts as an amateur, including a T15 finish at the 2016 Lorena Ochoa Invitational. She finished second to Jennifer Kupcho in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur in April 2019.

Fassi, who received her LPGA Tour card in December 2018 but postponed participation until after graduating from college, played as an amateur before turning professional in May 2019.
