During Makar Sankranti, flying kites around the temple is prohibited here
On the other hand, Hyderabad police have banned kite flying from January 14 to January 16 on all roads and around places of worship. Police commissioner CV Anand said in a release that the order was issued to maintain law and order, peace, harmony and avoid accidents during the Sankranti festival in Hyderabad from January 14 to 16. The notice states that speakers should not be installed in any public place. and no music is allowed to be played without the necessary police permission.
People of Hyderabad are advised not to let children fly kites from roofs without railings to avoid any unpleasant accidents/incidents. The notice said children need to be educated about the dangers of electric current so they do not pick up kites stuck on electric poles.
