Sharad Yadav will be cremated in his native village today, a day of state mourning in Bihar 2023

Sharad Yadav’s body will be taken from Delhi to capital Bhopal in a special flight this morning. Adi village will be reached by road from Bhopal. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m.

Veteran socialist leader and former Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav will be cremated today at his native village in Madhya Pradesh’s Narmadapuram district. Preparations for his funeral are underway at the family barn, a short distance from the ancestral home. A close associate of his in Bhopal provided this information. Former Union Minister Sharad Yadav passed away at a private hospital in Gurugram. He was 75 years old.

Govinda Yadav, former JD(U) Madhya Pradesh unit chief and close aide of Sharad Yadav, said the veteran leader will be cremated today at his native village Ankhmau in Babai tehsil of Narmadapuram district (formerly is Hoshangabad). He announced that Sharad Yadav’s body would be taken from Delhi to Bhopal by a special flight at around 11 am, from where it would be taken by road to his native village Ankhmau. He said that his last rites would be completed after noon.

He contested for the first time from Jabalpur constituency

According to information received from Narmadapuram, Shailesh Yadav, grandson of Sharad Yadav, said his last rites will be performed at Ankhmau village and Shantanu Bundela, son of Sharad Yadav, will light the cremation fire. Govind Yadav said that after starting out as a student leader, Sharad Yadav won the 1974 Lok Sabha by-election from Jabalpur seat in Madhya Pradesh as an opposition candidate against the Congress, which brought him into national politics.

He also won the Lok Sabha elections from Badaun and Madhepura

He said that Sharad Yadav had won Lok Sabha elections seven times in his long political career. He is also a member of the senate. He said that apart from Jabalpur, he also won the Lok Sabha elections from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh and Madhepura in Bihar, which is a big achievement for any politician.
