There are three main benefits that subscribers can expect with a live subscription: custom emotes, subscriber badges, and subscriber-only chat access.

Custom emoticons are like fancy emojis that are “custom designed by creators”. These sentiments can be used in the middle of live sessions.

Subscriber badges are given to subscribers and appear next to their names. These badges can be “upgraded over time”.

The subscriber-only chat feature is only vaguely described by TikTok as a feature where “creators and their subscribers have exclusive access to each other.” Not much more information has been released yet.

But what we do know is that subscribers, based on a number of videos from TikTok creators about the new live subscription program, will also have the ability to control their creator’s camera during a live stream. It is unclear at this time if the camera control feature is its own subscriber convenience or if it is part of the subscriber-only chat feature.
