A viral video being shared on social networks shows the bodies of two aliens, about 1000 years old, being displayed in the Mexican parliament. However, the veracity of this claim is unclear.
On September 12, Marca reported that “dead bodies of ‘non-human’ aliens” were displayed at the Mexican Congress by journalist and UFO researcher Jaime Maussan.
Video of the press event held at the congress was shared on social media, with posts claiming these were indeed 1,000-year-old non-human remains.
However, doubts were also immediately cast on the reports, due to Maussan’s history of being wrong or mistaken in claiming to have alien corpses.
Alien corpses found in Peru?
Maussan’s claim to the Mexican government was that these corpses were found in Peru, were about 1000 years old and were ‘alien’.
Speaking under oath, Maussan said: “These specimens are not part of our terrestrial evolution… These are not creatures found behind a UFO debris. They were found in diatom (algae) deposits and later fossilized.”
However, Maussan has a history of making similar statements that have been debunked.
In 2015, Jaime Maussan reported the discovery of another alien “mummy” in Peru, published in a similar viral video at the time.
However, it was later confirmed that the “alien” discovery was actually the mummy of a human child.
Although this latest episode took place in the Mexican congress under oath, there is little indication that Maussan’s statements this time are less fictional than the previous incident.
