Disney has released the official trailer of the film The Beatles: Returndirector’s three-part documentary series Lord of the Rings’ Peter Jackson.
The Beatles: Return chronicles the making of the Beatles’ 1970 album Let It Be, which will be released just in time for Thanksgiving, on November 25, 26 and 27 on the Disney+ streaming platform.
According to Disney, “the docuseries is compiled from nearly 60 hours of unwatchable footage over 21 days, directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in 1969, and from more than 150 hours of never-before-heard audio, most of it of which has been locked in a vault for more than half a century.”
There was so much material the Beatles provided to Jackson’s group that the original documentary was expanded into a three-part series.
Besides Let it be And Abbey Road footage and sound, The Beatles: Return also featured the band’s last live performance as a group, a rooftop concert on Savile Row in London on 30 January 1969.
The Beatles: Return directed by Peter Jackson, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, Olivia Harrison, Peter Jackson, Clare Olssen (They will not age) and Jonathan Clyde (Eight days a week), with Jeff Jones of Apple Corps (Eight days a week) and Ken Kamins (Hobbits trilogy) serves as executive producer.
The Beatles: Return will launch on Disney+ over Thanksgiving weekend (November 25, 26 and 27).
