Ten Asia, a South Korean media source, announced on March 3, 2023 that NCT’s Yuta had been verified to appear as the lead in the upcoming Japanese series, Play it Cool, Guys. The drama is based on the manga series Cool Doji Danshi and looks at the lives of four main characters whose beliefs are intertwined. Through their growing relationship, the four protagonists of Play it Chill, Guys learn the essence of existence.

NCT’s Yuta to Play a 20-Year-Old College Student in “Play it Cool, Guys”
In the slice of life drama, NCT’s Yuta will play the role of Ichikura Hayate, an endearing 20-year-old college student. Despite his good looks and charisma, the character is clumsy and frequently humiliated when he makes a mistake. While he seems strong on the outside, he is a sensitive person on the inside. The show will follow NCT’s character Yuta as he navigates his everyday challenges and moves forward with his life.
Meanwhile, Fujioka Maito will play Futami Shun, a muscular high school student. The 17-year-old acts as if he did it all on purpose and the comic presents him as a sports enthusiast. Sakurada Dori will play Mima Tayayukuri’s salaryman, who is characterized by being carefree even when he makes mistakes. Since he does not feel comfortable with his co-workers, the 27-year-old will interact with high school and university students.
According to the manga series and its plot, the three characters will be joined by Kawanishi Takumi, a cheerful student who enjoys his life and is currently enrolled in a professional design school. Audiences are already excited about the upcoming slice-of-life drama, in which four main characters from diverse backgrounds come together to solve their individual problems and live everyday life.
Netizens are also eagerly awaiting NCT’s Yuta’s return as a performer and cannot control their excitement. Many people took to social media to express their feelings.
One follower tweeted:
