Adin Ross smashed Kick’s viewership numbers with a fake Kim Jong Un interview stream, attracting more than 300,000 live viewers at its peak.

Since being permanently banned from Twitch, Adin Ross has largely become the face of Kick, although the company’s CEO admits he is a “brand risk” for the platform due to his many controversies .

Moments before the fake Kim Jong Un appeared, Ross’s broadcast spiked as tens of thousands of people flocked at the last minute. According to Stream Charts, this is currently his highest concurrent viewership of all time with over 333,506 fans watching live.

As for who he was interviewing, the “Kim Jong Un” he had on his livestream was a professional impersonator who came to know Howard X on Cameo, a website where you can rent actors to speak personalized messages.

Adding to the surreal nature of the broadcast, following Adin’s interview with the presumed leader of North Korea, he would go on to invite Andrew Tate to join the stream, including Howard Join the call.

Despite the hype generated by Ross and his fans, Kim Jong Un actually rarely gives interviews, let alone to foreign media figures. The first and last interview the Supreme Leader gave to foreign media was in 2019 with the Russian news channel Rossiya-24.
