23 years after Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer left the screen, the original film Seinfeld The soundtrack has finally been released. Composer Jonathan Wolff’s 33-track collection is available on all major streaming platforms and marks the first time the entire soundtrack has been officially released.
Talk to Diversity, Wolff said the soundtrack had been “30 years in the making” and detailed the process of selecting the songs for the compilation; “Is that the main sound of a famous person Seinfeld context? Does it contribute significantly to the humor of the scene? And when listening to it, does it serve as an instantly identifiable sign and bring a warm feeling to a person? Wolff revealed NBC was not enthusiastic about the theme song, describing it as “weird, distracting and annoying”, but co-creator and producer Larry David refused to change it. “Larry was deeply offended and couldn’t change anything,” the composer said.
