Luka Brunton from Below Deck Med Season 8 might be getting into too much boating with his co-stars.
While Luka Brunton is a fan favorite in Season 8, viewers are slowly raising their eyebrows at him. When he first boarded the yacht, he began a relationship with Nat Scudder. However, when her open relationship with a man on the mainland hit a snag, he returned to newcomer Jessika Asai.
Additionally, it’s important to note that he also shared a kiss with Deckhand Lara Du Preez. He then rewarded her with a promotion to Lead Deckhand.
Needless to say, Luka has had such successful relationships with almost every woman on the ship that viewers are starting to wonder if he’s becoming a walking red flag.

The mid-season trailer only revealed that Luka is still planning on exploring relationships with both Nat and Jessika, possibly simultaneously.
On November 26, Below Deck Med viewers began discussing Luka’s Season 8 character so far on Reddit, and it seems like the character is headed in the wrong direction.
One fan even went as far as comparing him to Gary King from Sailing Yacht below. “Luka is like Gary with a conscience. Women love him and he seems to have self-control,” they wrote.
Gary is definitely a ladies man on his season, after being romantically involved with both Daisy Kelliher and Mads Herrera in Season 4. The reality star was also recently sexually assaulted by a makeup artist on the series accused of sexual assault.
Luka is yet to address this controversial comparison.
