Below Deck Med fans criticize Chef Jack after rookie error in the kitchen 2023

From not cooking eggs right away to serious hygiene errors, Chef Jack Luby of Below Deck Med is not doing so well.

Even though he didn’t stir up relationships between the other crew members, Chef Jack Luby still didn’t receive a 5-star rating from viewers.

Firstly, because of his strong Liverpool accent, no one can understand what he is saying half the time.

Then there’s how he conducts himself in the kitchen. Not only did he fail to cook eggs properly for a charter guest, but he also complained when the customer had dietary restrictions as if they were a major inconvenience to him.

Needless to say, he is by far not a fan-favorite chef for Below Deck Mediterranean. And this moment in Episode 6 proves it.

What did Jack Luby do in Below Deck Med Season 8?

In episode 6, while cooking, Jack is seen tasting the dish he is making in a pot. He used a spoon, ate the whole spoon and then put it in the pot without cleaning it.

Disgusted, viewers quickly took to the Below Deck Facebook group to discuss the crude on-screen moment.

One fan wrote: “I actually saw the chef taste the spoon and put it back in the pot???”

Another fan chimed in and wrote: “They have to change silverware every time they taste something! The key word is “suppose”! Laugh.”

What’s worse is that he ends up serving the dish to the charter guests. And if he didn’t notice the mistake this time, it’s safe to assume that he probably did it every time he cooked on the cruise ship.
