To say the least, Captain Sandy and Captain Lee from the Below Deck series don’t get along at all.
Arguably the two most recognized captains in the entire Below Deck series are Captain Lee Rosbach and Captain Sandy Yawn.
Although Lee won’t be returning to the landmark series for Season 11, he’s still iconic for being our first on-screen BD captain while Captain Sandy made history as is one of the only female captains on air.
Although they work in the same industry, the two have not been close for a long time. Captain Sandy first reveals that he will not return her phone calls.
Captain Lee then calls her out and names her as responsible for the season 8 document forgery in the Mediterranean.
If that wasn’t enough, Captain Sandy is now increasingly revealing their friendship (or lack thereof).

Is Captain Sandy of Below Deck Med a friend of Captain Lee?
On October 9, Captain Sandy spoke to TV Insider about her current relationship status with Captain Lee.
She said: “Captain Lee has never supported me from day one. Honestly, I think he’s a man in a man’s world and doesn’t like women as captains. In my industry, I feel proud of what I do. I worked very hard to get into a leadership position. If he doesn’t support me and always criticizes me because he is the captain of all captains, which is not right, what should I do?”
The reality star also went on to criticize Lee for not being the same type of captain that she is.
“Honestly, I’m a Mediterranean captain,” Sandy said. I don’t know the last time Captain Lee was in the Med, maybe 30 years.”
Lee has yet to publicly respond to his comments. Needless to say, it doesn’t look like they’re going to be best friends anytime soon.
