The fertilizer manufacturing company is facing the same fate as paper mills based in Nagaon and Cachar of Assam faced. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the setting up of a fourth plant at Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizers Limited during a 100-day economic analysis. In addition, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also expressed enthusiasm in planning the fertilizer factory but the fourth plant of the fertilizer factory never materialized. The first and second plants of the fertilizer factory have stopped operating. The third factory, which produces 600 to 700 tons of fertilizer per day, is the only hope for farmers in the region who are in darkness.
