Fans of Starbucks’ signature Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) can now purchase exclusive merchandise to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary.

It seems strange that Starbucks is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their legendary pumpkin spice latte. Since its launch in 2003, the drink has become a staple on the brand’s menu, with customers asking to enjoy this seasonal delicacy.

To commemorate the occasion, Starbucks partnered with KidSuper, a Brooklyn-based brand known for its innovative designs. Fans can now purchase a limited edition varsity jacket, which includes several fall slogans, including “PSL is Love,” “Happy Fall” and “Worth the Wait.”

The jacket has rich autumn tones and bold text – a mark of KidSuper’s unique designs. Brand founder Colm Dillane shares: “Starbucks PSL is an example of how innovation and community can drive culture and that’s exactly what motivates me at work… Partnering with Starbucks to design designing a jacket was a great experience.

“Through this collaboration, I was able to channel my creative vision into a piece of wearable art, while capturing the essence of Fall and PSL. I’m so excited that fans of this drink can try it!” These jackets are available for pre-order now while supplies last.

A brief history of Starbucks’ iconic PSL

PSL first entered the public consciousness in the 2010s, becoming a true thinker of the era. However, social media has seen the rise of this seasonal drink, which some fans may not realize is that the PSL almost collapsed early on.

Founder Peter Dukes said: “We launched PSL very well, but then there were discussions about discontinuing it… There was an idea at that time of ‘Hey, we want to keep every something new, keep things fresh.’ And luckily, we keep bringing it back. With the advent of social media, it has reached a whole new level.”
