Where did Cassady go? On weekdays, Carly Cassady can be seen on Dawn at 6 a.m. and FOX31 Morning News at 8 a.m. Carly is a native of Lenexa, a Kansas suburb located near Kansas City. Despite growing up in many different weather zones, she had never actually seen a tornado up close. One day, she wanted to go chase tornadoes. While going to school and playing soccer at the University of Memphis in Tennessee, where they won the conference, she was a member of the women’s team for all four years. Where did Cassady go? She shared this sad news and said this is her last week working at FOX31/CH2 and television news. Since the age of 7, she considered this her dream job and she was delighted to have it. However, she must admit that she is now even more proud of herself for listening to and trusting her inner voice as her goals, values, and sense of worth changed. She is grateful to everyone who helped her get here and adjust to the change. All the people they met and the relationships they made were the best part of this journey. While she expressed her joy at staying in Denver, she pledged to share more information at her final concert on August 5.
She announced her departure from Fox 31 on her Facebook page. At KMVT in Twin Falls, Idaho, she began working as a reporter and weekend meteorologist. To earn her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist certification, she also took additional online courses at Mississippi State. Carly then spent more than two years working at KBTX in College Station, Texas. Carly then moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she worked as a weekend morning meteorologist for WXII. The CBM seal was earned by Carly in February 2019. Carly’s dog is named Molly. She is a Dalmatian adopted in 2015 by Colorado Dalmatian Rescue of Fort Collins.
Together, they enjoy hiking and are excited to explore Colorado’s trails. Carly is happy to provide weather forecasts for Denver’s changing weather. She is excited to finally be able to call Denver, Steamboat, Vail and the surrounding areas her home. She has family here and has visited these locations before on vacation and to watch football. With eight years of experience as a seasoned meteorologist and communications expert, she has realized her dream. She excels at writing, content creation, public speaking, and weather forecasting while working a tight schedule.
