After a man tried to order grilled chicken from the Costco food court without being a member, customers shared the secret to getting their favorite fresh Costco meals.

While everyone has the option of becoming a Costco customer, not everyone has the privilege of shopping at a store that sells large quantities of discounted items.

Sure, Costco may have certain products that other stores don’t, but if you don’t pay to be a member of the store, you won’t be eligible to purchase from their inventory.

Not only that, but Costco’s food court is off-limits to non-members – leading to one man being unable to order the meal he’s been craving. However, TikTokers shared their different Costco hacks so he could go back and finally order from their food court.

A TikToker was denied entry to the Costco food court because he did not have a membership

When Jacob Lee thought about eating grilled chicken made at Costco’s food court, he traveled 20 minutes from home to the nearest Costco store he could find.

Upon arrival, Lee recorded his entire experience and uploaded the video to TikTok. To start, he walked into Costco and eventually realized he needed a membership to shop there, prompting him to say out loud, “Do I need a Costco membership?”

When Lee appeared confused, he continued, “Oh, wait a minute. I can’t even go into Costco, I don’t have a Costco membership.” He then walked out of the store and turned around, asking the employee: “If I just want to go to the food court, do I need a membership?”

The employee told him he needed a membership to enter the food court. Frustrated that he couldn’t order grilled chicken, Lee took to TikTok to update his followers on the rules at Costco’s food court.

To his surprise, he encountered a variety of tricks to help him finally get his Costco grilled chicken. One person shared their Costco trick: “Just enter through the exit and use the food court kiosk (you don’t need a membership card to use it).”

“Get a gift card to Costco for $5 and you can use the gift card,” others suggested. Alternatively, “Just say you want to line up for membership and then walk to the food court.”

One person even mentioned using the Costco pharmacy as an excuse to get into the food court, since you don’t need to be a member to use their pharmacy services.

Because there was a Costco employee working the front door checking memberships, it’s unknown whether Lee returned to the store to grill the chicken. However, the tips given by those who have watched his TikTok videos could be his cue to enter the Costco food court.
