UFC President Dana White accused KSI’s Misfits Boxing of lying about their recent Prime Pass pay-per-view buys.
Prime Card is one of the most influential boxing events we have seen to date. Not only will we see KSI go toe-to-toe with Love Island star and professional boxer Tommy Fury – who handed Jake Paul his first loss in early 2023 – but also a reported return to boxing. Long awaited by Logan Paul.
‘The Maverick’ stepped into the ring with MMA fighter Dillon Danis, who before the fight shot at Paul’s newly engaged fiance Nina Adgal, the fight eventually ended in chaos and a brawl between the two faction in the ring.
To be fair, the event was a blast, with Prime Card reportedly selling a staggering 1.3 million PPV buys, making it DAZN’s biggest show of the year so far. However, UFC President Dana White accused Misfits Boxing of lying about the numbers.
Dana White accuses Misfits of lying about Prime Card PPV sales
During the recent FULL SEND podcast on November 28, the UFC CEO responded to the 1.3 million pay-per-view purchases Prime Card sold.
“Let me tell you something, let me tell you how hard it is to sell 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. If you sell 1.3, if you sell 700k pay-per-view buys then they will do 10 fights a year,” he said.
“When you hear those numbers flying around in the pay-per-view world, they’re fucking lying, don’t ever believe it.”
He added: “Do you know how much that is? If they come in and make a deal and do 1.3 million pay-per-view buys.
“If you come out and say you did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys on your event, you’re lying.”
While Dana believes they are lying about the numbers, KSI manager and Misfits Boxing President Mams Taylor estimates more than 15 million people stole the Prime Card event.
