Dave Grohl Releasing First Memoir ‘The Storyteller’ 2023

The most beautiful guy in rock music is ready to share his story. Dave Grohl, former Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman, will release his first memoir later this year. Inspired by Dave’s True Stories Instagram account, Storyteller will include many interesting and heartfelt stories about Grohl’s life. Everything from his childhood to his time in Nirvana and the last 25 years with the Foo Fighters will be discussed.

Of course, there are stories involving some of Grohl’s famous friends, with the book including anecdotes about David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Joan Jett, Tom Petty and Paul McCartney, among others. . In a statement about the book Grohl said:

“There is a common thread that runs through everything I do: storytelling. Whether in song, documentary or on the page, I always feel compelled to share moments from my life. This tendency is a big part of what excites me creatively and as a person. In March 2020, realizing that my day-to-day work with Foo Fighters was about to be paused, I started an Instagram account (@davestruestories) and decided to focus all my creative energy on write down some of my stories, which I love to do but I never really have time for it. I quickly realized that the reward I felt every time I posted a story was the same feeling I got when I played a song for an audience, so I kept writing.”

“The response from readers is as soulful as any applause in the arena. So I recorded all the experiences I’ve had in my life – unbelievable, difficult, funny and emotional – and decided it was time to put them into words.
