Below Deck Med viewers are criticizing Bosun Luka for seemingly not knowing the cartoon character was permanently tattooed on his body.
Luka from the Below Deck series has quickly become a fan favorite on the hit Bravo series. Fans not only love his happy-go-lucky personality but also respect his work ethic. His work ethic is what ultimately earned him Bosun status, which Captain Sandy proudly promoted him to.
However, there is no reality TV personality that hasn’t received tons of criticism from the audience, and even Luka is no exception to that rule.
Now, audiences are criticizing the Below Deck cast for seemingly not knowing the origin behind their own tattoos.
Below Deck fans criticized Luka for not knowing the TV character’s tattoo on his body
When Luka and the crew went out for drinks after their first trip in Season 8, Episode 2, he and Natalya got to know each other better.
While chatting, Natalya pointed out Otto’s large tattoo from the Nickelodeon cartoon, “Rocket Power.” However, based on the show’s subtitles, Luka said the character with the tattoo on his body is from another Nickelodeon cartoon from the same era, Rugrats.
This mistake made fans quite disappointed with Luka because they didn’t even know the story behind the ink on his body.
Of course, fans have a lot to say about Luka’s slide. Taking to the Below Deck subreddit, viewers discussed the incident.
“So that makes 2 ugly and weird tattoo options for Luka,” one fan wrote, referring to the notable butterfly tattoo in the middle of his chest.
Another agreed, writing: “Coming from a guy with a butterfly tattoo on his chest…I don’t think he puts much thought into his tattoo.”
“WE FOUND AN ERROR!!” another viewer said, referring to Luka’s seemingly perfect personality. “That is unforgivable,” they added jokingly.
Stay tuned for more Below Deck Med to follow Luka on his journey as Bosun.
