Below Deck Med star Ruan Irving
Former Deck Med bosun Ruan Irving has finally explained his shocking Season 8 exit from the Bravo show.
Everything else is on a sour note for Below Deck Med star Ruan Irving. He wanted to defend himself from accusations that he forged his documents to act as a bosun on the Bravo series.
Taking to Instagram, Ruan shared about his brief experience on Below Deck Med.
In his post, Ruan asserted that the reason his Yachtmasters were counterfeited was due to “scams”.
Below Deck Med’s Ruan Irving explains the messy exit from the program
When Ruan Irving left Below Deck Med, he was described as a “big red flag” by Captain Sandy and fans alike.
Not only did he not provide the original copy of his medical license, but he also provided a fake Yachtmasters certificate with someone else’s face on it.
Due to not being able to process the paperwork in time, Nguyen left the program.
Taking to Instagram, Ruan explained the chaotic developments that led to his departure.
Regarding his originals, he says, “All my original hard copies are in South Africa. I never travel with them that’s why I got certified copies! Now the program has a certified copy.
“Because I sent them the requested copy (no one asked for the original until MCA got involved). After the show, I flew to Cape Town and got the certificate and sent the show a video with all the originals.”
As for his seemingly fake Yachtmasters, Ruan asserted that he was likely “scammed.”
“Now yacht owners are the main problem. Through a guy who works at the school,” he began.
“I owned my yacht 5 years or so ago, who I contacted and asked to extend the expiry date because of the show etc! I paid a fee and received front and back copies of yacht replicas with new expiration dates. The show started. And then MCA discovered that if you scan a barcode, it will appear the other person’s name and picture. Have I been scammed? Most probably!!”
