Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was arrested early this morning in Los Angeles on charges of concealing a gun. According to TMZ, officers stopped the heavyweight around 1:15 a.m. during a routine traffic stop because they suspected the windows of his car were illegally tinted and his license plate was obscured.

Wilder was detained at 3.13am and spent just under three hours inside the facility. He was then scheduled for a court hearing on May 23 in Los Angeles, where he could be charged with a felony and fined up to $10,000. The boxer is now planning a super fight with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia in December.
