Disneyland’s popular It’s a Small World ride has been invaded by a naked person shocking park-goers. Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible.
Disneyland and controversy seem to go hand in hand. This year alone, the happiest place on Earth banned someone from sneaking in alcohol, locked a Twitch streamer on the ride, and had OnlyFans model movie content there.
Of course, there’s still room for magic at Disneyland. Amusement parks are popular locations for viral proposals. Unfortunately, something less magical happened on Sunday.
According to People Magazine, a 26-year-old man was arrested around 1:30 p.m. for wandering around naked during the It’s a Small World ride. Video of the incident was posted online and spread widely.
The first videos showed Disneyland characters walking around the ride in glasses and underwear. The man began tampering with certain props of the ride as well as its famous animatronics.
Other more graphic video appears to show the man completely naked and trying to evade security by jumping into the water on top of the car. In these clips, a viewer can be heard shouting at plaid “you idiot! In front of all these kids!”
One of the park-goers present at the incident told Entertainment Weekly that the man with the stripes did not appear to be completely present. “It seemed like he didn’t know where he was,” they explained. “He looked worried. My friends and I saw him, and it looked like he was about to jump on us.”
A spokesperson for Disneyland Resort responded to questions from Deadline and explained that the man left the boat while it was moving. Park operators appear to have stopped the ride as they assessed the situation.
Anaheim police arrested a 26-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of indecent exposure and being under the influence of a controlled substance. They also confirmed that no one was harmed in the incident.
A police department spokesperson also said the man was taken to the hospital as a precaution and for a drug test.
