Popular YouTuber Dr Dispect is making Call of Duty and other modern video games explode for spending a lot of time and money on interface instead of gameplay.
Dr Dispect has never been shy about revealing his true feelings about the gaming industry and took aim at Call of Duty in a recent broadcast.
Call of Duty has really upped its crossover game in recent years, partnering with rappers like Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj as well as other series to release some fan-favorite crossover skins. .
However, not everyone appreciates these new features, with Dr Dispect claiming that too many games focus on the interface instead of titles that enhance the means of gaming as a whole.
Dr. Dispect says that video games focus too much on cosmetics
During a recent YouTube livestream, Dr Dispect mentioned CoD’s Spawn look, suggesting that Activision spent a small fortune bringing the comic book character to the game.
“How much do you think it cost them to put Spawn in there? Like a million or something? And then they put the production into that video. They are creating high quality production videos of new skins in the game!” He commented boredly.

He was surprised by this twice, commenting that he was shocked to see people enjoying such exposed skin.
“The state of the industry, I don’t know where we are. That’s not what I grew up with. It was really about playing the game and the fun aspect of interacting with the game, but now people are getting excited about high-quality videos. We need to bring the culture of this industry back,” he added.
Doc went on to say that, while single-player games and RPGs are thriving and could be “the best ever,” it feels like too much is being wasted on cosmetics and There isn’t enough talent being utilized on the multiplayer front.
“Where is my thousand-person BR in a game that looks like Cyberpunk in this state?” he exclaimed.
With Dr Dispect’s Midnight Society studio developing its own exploitation shooter, we’ll have to see if Deaddrop can deliver and be the breath of fresh air that Doc wants.
