Dr Dispect finally received a handshake from YouTube when Kick contract negotiations broke down 2023

Legendary streamer Dr Dispect has finally received approval from YouTube Gaming as his contract negotiations with Kick appear to have broken down.

Dr Dispect has been streaming on YouTube since being mysteriously banned by Twitch in 2020, but his time on YT hasn’t been without drama.

Back in 2022, this person lashed out at YouTube twice, claiming they did not support him and even unfollowed the platform on X, formerly known as Twitter, due to his talent not being recognized .

Now, that seems to have finally been cleared up as Doc revealed that YouTube Gaming has finally opened its arms for a firm handshake, which he has accepted and may have more situations rather than just gestures on social networks.

Dr Dispect joined hands with YouTube when the Kick deal collapsed

Before YouTube took action, Dr Dispect was eyeing a deal with Kick and asked for a $50 million deal.

Doc was lured to join the green platform after Twitch star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel landed a huge payout in the form of a lucrative $100 million contract.

Despite asking for half of xQc’s contract, Kick’s Chief Product Officer Paulie Chianese implied that the amount was too much and that Doc’s request was solid.

“I love the doctor. I have been following him for many years. I think he’s one of the most exciting streamers in the industry, but fifty million is still fifty million,” he said in an interview with streamer Big E.

However, shortly after Dr Dispect posted about gaining a following on YouTube, the platform appeared to tease something on social media by posting a dark silhouette of a mysterious streamer with question mark above the head.

“Can you name this creator?” YouTube asked.

Many in the comments are predicting that this is Doc and could indicate the possibility of a double contract and an exclusive contract offer, although nothing is certain yet.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but for now, it seems Dr Dispect is content with continuing to appear on YouTube for the foreseeable future.
