A Fortnite recreation of the iconic rap battle between B-Rabbit and Papa Doc from the movie 8 Mile has gone viral online and now Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg has responded in kind. Here’s what he said and how fans reacted.

Eminem’s Fortnite collaboration is perhaps the biggest since rap icon Travis Scott’s Astronomical will take center stage this weekend during the Big Bang live event. The hugely successful OG season is coming to a close, and to celebrate in Slim Shady style, Epic Games has now released all Eminem cosmetics in the Item Shop.

When players choose between the Slim Shady, Marshall Never More, and Rap Boy skins, they seem to favor the Slim Shady skin to experience a hidden feature. Furthermore, a faithful Fortnite recreation of the iconic rap battle between B-Rabbit and Papa Doc is the product of the ingenuity of one such player, who also happens to be a fan of the series. The player recreated the iconic scene with a crowd of Fortnite characters, as he used Eminem’s Slim Shady skin and Anthony Mackie’s Captain America skin, actors who appeared in the original footage. Following the popularity of the viral clip on social media, Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager, responded and expressed his views on the same.

Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s longtime manager and co-founder of Shady Records Repost the viral clip on X was originally created by a TikTok user named Pleakz and said, “I mean… wow!” The clip features one player wearing Eminem’s Slim Shady costume while his opponent wears Mackie’s Captain America costume as he continues to perform beatboxing expressions to appear as if they are rapping.

While Mackie’s Cap rages, they dub the rap from the final rap battle at 8 Mile and show other Fortnite characters dancing to it in the background. Slim Shady immediately after the battle ended used a shotgun to remove Cap’s skin.

Upon seeing the repost, several Eminem fans and Fortnite players were quick to comment, including one user who said, “This is amazing.” Another said: “Amazing!”

Despite the praise for the clip, fans couldn’t resist asking Rosenberg some burning questions with a third fan commenting, “Can you at least tell us Can we expect a new album next year?” A fourth user replied: “Paul releases albums or tells us he’s retired. We are fed up with the limbo.”
