The Australian Grand Prix gets exciting with another win for Max Verstappen/Red Bull. Since launching in 2020, they have rated each driver according to their performance on a 10-point scale. But in 2023, they changed the system to a ratings-based system. All drivers will be ranked in order of their performance from best to worst at each big weekend and it will be based on their full range of criteria, from speed and track to to consistency and whether they made any important mistakes. Giving maximum performance to the vehicle will be essential for the driver.
F1 driver rankings 2023
Now let’s look up the rankings of the F1 Grand Prix drivers. George Russell, who started 2nd but could have finished was placed 1st. George had a better start than Verstappen and that’s what got him to his first test. 2nd was Fernando Alonso who started in 4th but finished in 3rd. For the first time you could tell that the attack around his outside style in the first lap was unsuccessful. 3rd was Lando Norris, who started 13th and finished 6th in the race. He made some key passes, even when Mclaren wasn’t in a straight line.
Finishing 4th will be Lewis Hamilton, who started 3rd and finished 2nd. Lewis looks set to return to a fun weekend. 5th place was our race winner Max Verstappen who started 1st and also finished 1st. 6th was Nico Hulkenberg who started 10th but finished 1st. finished in 7th place. You could say that Nico delivered exactly what was signed for him. 7th was Oscar Piastri, who started 16th but finished 8th in the race. 8th will be Lance Stroll, who started in 6th place and finished in 4th place. 9th is Chu Quan Vu, who started in 17th place and finished in 9th place, result was a bad weekend for Alfa Romeo. In 10th place was Sergio Perez, who finished in 5th place.
11th place will be Yuki Tsunoda, who started 12th and finished 10th. 12th is Carlos Sainz, who started 5th but finished 12th. Esteban Ocon, who started 11th and finished 14th (DNF) finished 13th. In 14th place was Alex Albon, who started 8th but could not finish the race. 15th Valtteri Bottas is 11th. 16th is Charles Leclerc. 17th is Pirre Gasly. 18th is Nyck De Vries. 19th is Sergeant Logan. 20th is Kevin Magnussen.
