The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttarakhand Police has arrested two BAM doctors who were playing with people’s lives with fake degrees. Similarly, 36 other fake doctors have also been identified in the state. The STF team is trying to arrest them. Preliminary investigation revealed that there are many Ayurvedic doctors in Uttarakhand state with fake BAM degrees. With the help of his forged documents, the police also came to know about the documents related to registration to practice medicine with the Medical Council of India in Uttarakhand. Based on the same fake registration, BAM is running their own private hospitals/clinics as doctors in different parts of the state. Innocent people in the area mistook him for a qualified doctor.
Ayurvedic doctor’s degree was faked
STF Senior Superintendent of Police Ayush Aggarwal also said that many Ayurvedic doctors were proven to be fraudulent during the preliminary investigation. After identifying about 36 such doctors, information was sought from the concerned medical boards, it was found that most of the bogus Ayurvedic doctors had degrees from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences in Karnataka, turned out to be completely bogus. The Medical Council of India, Uttarakhand, on the basis of the said fake degrees, registered in the state and did not cooperate with the STF investigation despite correspondence, is also investigating the involvement of the officials and council staff. .
