Some friends go out for a drink in town when one of them gets so drunk he gets sick, forcing them to pay a cleaning fee – which they refuse to pay.

A girl had to protect her friend after she vomited because she was so drunk while eating at a restaurant.

Although the staff tried to charge the friends a cleaning fee, they refused to pay.

A video of the incident was later uploaded to TikTok, where viewers mostly commented in support of the eatery charging the fee and not the group of friends.

TikTokers explain that the $15 cleaning fee is much cheaper than most restaurants’ cleaning fees

Lots of restaurants offer bottomless drinks, especially mimosas at brunch. However, it is not uncommon for customers to get sick at these restaurants.

Since then, eateries have imposed cleaning fees on when and if anyone vomits at their restaurant.

While most places charge a $50 cleaning fee for dumping trash on their premises, the friends in the TikTok video were only charged $15.

Having said that, they refused to pay the extra fee, causing the restaurant staff to raise their hands in disbelief.

It is unknown what the friends were drinking, however, it is clear that at least one of them drank to the point of vomiting.

People who saw the viral TikTok video of friends arguing with staff quickly sided with the restaurant, saying: “If it were me, I would be embarrassed. I will apologize and pay extra for cleaning.”

“Oh my god, if you don’t want to pay then clean up to make up for it… A person’s vomit can be infectious… Basic etiquette please!” another person interjected.

One person even mentioned that their workplace charges a $100 cleaning fee, while others claimed that most restaurants charge at least $50.

Some TikTokers even suggested that the girls call the police about the “right” dispute, although it is unknown how far the debate went regarding legality.
