After the Union Budget 2023, the salary suitability factor of government employees is likely to change. The match factor is a simple value, calculated by multiplying an employee’s base salary by their total salary. After this hike, the minimum wage of workers will be Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000.
What will the salary be?
The overall installation coefficient is currently at 2.57%. This means that if a person gets a basic salary of Rs 15,500 then his total salary will be Rs 15,500 * 2.57 or Rs 39,835. The 6th CPC has recommended keeping the equipment ratio at 1.86%.
Now, according to reports, workers are demanding that the government increase the installation factor to 3.68%. As a result, the minimum salary of central government employees will increase from Tk 18,000 to Tk 26,000. Unions and employee associations have been demanding an increase in the equipment factor for many years. They said that despite the increase in DA, the basic salary still needs to increase as the salary increases on this basis.
The government has also changed this regulation
We would like to inform you that the Ministry of Finance has recently changed the rules regarding House Rent Allowance (HRA) for Central Government Employees. Under the new rules, government employees will not be eligible for HRA under certain circumstances. The first rule is that an employee will not be eligible if he shares the Government accommodation allotted to another Government servant. Also, if the employee’s parents, son or daughter have been given a house and he is living there. These include Central or State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings and Semi-Government Institutions like Municipal Corporations, Port Trusts, Nationalized Banks, LIC etc.
