Gordon Ramsay delivers a lot of insults in various episodes of Kitchen Nightmares. This time, he compares In the Drink restaurant to one of the most boring places ever.
When Gordon Ramsay doesn’t like something at one of the restaurants he visits, he never Avoid sharing your opinions.
Most of the time, he focuses on the food being served. Other times, he criticizes the general atmosphere of an establishment.
Season 8, Episode 3 of Kitchen Nightmares certainly includes a lot of criticism from Gordon about the various dishes on the menu, but he also has a lot to say about how In the Drink looks inside. At one point, he called the restaurant a “dull funeral home!” This is exactly why he feels this way.

After patiently waiting for hours inside In the Drink to chat directly with owner Jorge, Gordon became increasingly frustrated. Finally, Jorge came out to meet him and appeared extremely indifferent to everything that was going on in his restaurant.
Gordon pointed to a patch of mismatched paint on one wall. While the majority of the walls inside the restaurant are painted light gray, there are some random patches of white near some tables and windows.
Jorge jokingly asked if Gordon liked it. To that, Gordon responded by saying: “That looks stupid! The road to this road is beautiful… to this boring funeral home!”
In other words, golfers driving to the restaurant are expecting a fine dining experience, but they end up facing significant disappointment once inside.

Jorge tries to smooth that over by saying he totally knows what the restaurant could do with some of the decorations, but Gordon isn’t having any of that. He told Jorge that the only thing that saved the restaurant was great service from an excellent staff.
Since In the Drink is currently located on a country club golf course, it should represents the golf course in a better light. The customer base willing to pay for luxury experiences wants to enjoy food in classy and classy restaurants – no pun intended.
