Hell’s Kitchen fans who have been watching Season 22 have already determined who the “villain” is this time.

With any good reality TV show, there are usually contestants who are easy to root for and contestants who are easy to root for. Every season of Hell’s Kitchen has a number of individuals you hope will make it to the finals.

They always accompany contestants who you hope will soon be eliminated. In Season 22, it looks like fans already know who the villain will become. Jason Hedin hasn’t had the best reputation so far with viewers or his teammates. Here’s why.

A scathing Reddit thread was created to discuss Jason’s behavior and actions so far in Hell’s Kitchen’s 22nd season. A user named “Stewart434” posted a teaser describing Jason as “someone with an overbearing personality and a tendency to push people’s buttons.” Other Redditors echoed their sentiments.

One person wrote: “[Jason] seems very stuck for some reason.”

Another added: “Jason is trying to be the villain of the season. We will see how he progresses.”

A third Reddit user said: “Jason is exactly what I thought he was, he is very arrogant and egotistical.”

But why exactly do people feel so strongly about Jason in the first place? Maybe it’s because of all the inappropriate jokes he makes on his teammates. At one point, the Blue Team seemed delighted when Jason caught some negative criticism from Gordon Ramsay.

Jason ruined his live lobster appetizer and Gordon wasn’t shy about expressing his anger and frustration. He certainly gave Jason a hard time with a lot of aggressive yelling.

By the end of Episode 2, the Blue Team collectively blamed Jason and several other team members for making most of the mistakes throughout the night.

Jason’s unwillingness to accept any responsibility for his mistakes helped the Blue Team realize that he was not the type of person with much integrity. Viewers will have to wait and see if Jason turns things around before the season ends – or if he continues with his questionable antics.
