Below Deck Med fans have expressed their dislike for the hit Bravo series’ one-episode-a-week format.
Below Deck Med fans are excited that the Bravo series is back, seemingly with more drama than ever. However, one aspect of the current season that has left viewers quite disappointed is the one-episode-a-week format.
Fans of the series were just served a full season of Below Deck Down Under, where viewers were blessed with double episodes. As a result, the cutback to one episode a week left fans feeling uneasy by comparison.
Considering viewers will have to wait every Monday to watch the entire Below Deck drama, viewers are worried that this format of episodes will trick fans with characters that ultimately go nowhere.
Below Deck Med Season 8 fans are unhappy with the one-episode-a-week format
Perhaps loyal fans of Below Deck are familiar with the two-episode format offered in the latest installment of Below Deck Down Under Season 2. Now that Below Deck Med only shows 50-minute installments each week, fans The grave begins to feel nostalgic for the old form.
Referencing the Below Deck Subreddit, Below Deck viewers have voiced their complaints.
“I wish we had more than one episode per week,” one fan wrote. “I know it’s greedy, but if they start this ‘carry on’ game for dramatic effect, I’ll be disappointed.”
Another fan was quick to agree. They wrote: “I completely agree! The opening to an episode that gets people watching always means nothing when they watch it again the following week.”
They went on to write, “I mean, this week is TBC, and look what we get in this preview – nothing major. No major drama. It’s just more stressful. I mean technically EVERY episode can be ‘continued’ because we’ll pick up each week where we left off. So don’t make following us a pain. We went to see the puppet show. We saw the ropes.”
Stay tuned to Bravo for more episodes of Below Deck Med.
