How to delete TikTok account through the application

Luckily, deleting your account on TikTok is a fairly simple process.

Launch TikTok.
Tap ‘Profile’ in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Click the three-line icon at the top right, then click ‘Settings and privacy’.
Tap ‘Manage account’ under ‘Account’.
Select ‘Delete account.’
Follow the instructions on the screen.

How to delete your TikTok account via the web

Deleting your TikTok account through the website is almost the same way you do it on the app:

Go to the TikTok website and make sure you’re signed in.
Hover over your profile picture in the top right and click ‘Settings’.
In the ‘Account Management’ tab, look under ‘Account Control’ for ‘Delete Account’.
Click the red ‘Delete’ button and follow the on-screen instructions.

Please note that following these instructions will initially only deactivate your account as within 30 days you can reactivate it.

How to recover your TikTok account

If you change your mind about leaving your account, log back into the app within 30 days after your first cancellation.

You will receive an on-screen notification with the option to restore your account, so click ‘Reactivate’ if you wish to do so and follow the on-screen instructions. However, after your account is permanently deleted, if you want to rejoin TikTok, you will have to create a new account.
