Izzy from Love is Blind has some regrets when it comes to how he treated Johnie at the group meeting.
In Season 5, Episode 7, Izzy pulls her old flame aside to tell her how “sketchy” he thinks she is. This interaction brings Johnie to tears.
Although Izzy still stands by his statements against her, the Love is Blind contestant wishes he would have made his statements in a more appropriate way.
Izzy regrets the way she treated Johnie in Love is Blind
Fans were shocked when Izzy verbally attacked Johnie at the group meeting. After Johnie informed Izzy that she was now happily dating Chris, Izzy took the opportunity to attack Johnie’s character, calling her “sketchy.”
He then continues to pursue her, implying that Chris deserves better.
Looking back, Izzy wants to take the blame for his poor handling of the situation, but he still stands by what he said. “Honestly, it just doesn’t sit right with me. I was pretty drunk,” he revealed on Nick Viall’s podcast (per Insider.) “I had poor delivery. Looking back, it feels terrible. That’s not my personality.”
He went on to say “I definitely take responsibility for that, it was harsh. Looking back, I feel disgusted with myself.” Izzy then added: “I regret sending the message but I don’t regret the message.”
After that messy interaction between Izzy and Johnie, fans voiced their distaste for his inappropriate behavior.
“Izzy is just sad that Johnnie left,” one fan wrote on the Love is Blind Subreddit. “If he didn’t care, he’d be happy for her and Chris.”
Another fan agreed, writing: “That’s terrible and unnecessary. He was clearly engaging in that conversation to make himself feel good by putting her down. He was so excited and agitated. Later, when he bragged to Stacy about it, he looked like a lion that had just killed a small animal and was feeling excited. He’s gross for that. Johnni may have her problems, but the whole conversation with Izzy was unnecessary.”
