Jake Paul has apparently accepted an offer to fight Nate Diaz inside the PFL cage in an MMA bout but the pair will not be fighting again in the boxing ring.
When Jake Paul lost to Tommy Fury in February, there were many questions about whether he would continue in boxing. Notably, he also signed an MMA contract with PFL.
It wasn’t long before he rebounded, choosing Nate Diaz as his next opponent. ‘The Problem Kid’ picked up a unanimous decision win over the former UFC star in August 2023, returning to winning ways in the boxing ring.
Jake offered Nate a rematch on his home turf, MMA, but it had to take place in the PFL – an organization Nate was unwilling to fight. The Stockton native has stated that he wants to try and return to the UFC.
Jake Paul accepts PFL’s offer to fight Nate Diaz in MMA
Well, the rumors of that second clash are not going away, especially now that it has been confirmed that PFL have made an offer for the pair.
“For the record: Jake Paul will not fight Nate Diaz again,” Jake’s brand MVP tweeted on October 23, responding to rumors that Nate would be his opponent in his return to the boxing ring in December.
“Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have received offers from @PFLMMA to rematch MMA in SmartCage. Jake Paul has accepted the offer.”
As noted, the offer for the match has been on the table since they initially agreed to the fight, but it’s interesting to note that the rematch in the boxing ring was canceled.
Nate has been steadfast in saying he won’t fight for the PFL, but who knows if he’ll change his mind now that there’s a little more public pressure.
