Say what you want about Culver, but when it comes to entertainment in Below Deck Down Under, João knows he’s got the job done.

Deckhand Culver Bradbury did not receive his usual applause. During Below Deck Down Under’s debut season, he quickly earned the title of Entertainment Director.

But all of that is gone in Season 2. From being lazy at work to refusing to pay the bill on a crew night out, he’s pretty much a murderer.

Tenants in the program like to organize themed events to make their trip more interesting. And perhaps because Culver is no stranger to the innovative disco ball cap, he decided to pull out all the stops.

Why does João compliment Culver in Below Deck Down Under?

In Episode 16 of Season 2, the charter guests requested a Magic Mike-style party. And Culver gave it to them. Oh, that’s not exactly Culver.

When wearing his iconic blonde mullet wig, he was known as Curtis Stone.

João admits in the episode that he doesn’t work well but he is a great entertainer. He even joked that because of his performance, Culver may have chosen the wrong profession.

João’s compliment was surprising because not long ago, he was quick to criticize him for not working and being negligent.

Hate Culver all you want, but the ability to entertain guests is essential and he’s always up to the task. And João is starting to realize that.
