Jungkook teamed up with pop icon Justin Timberlake for a revamped version of “3D” and fans are already calling it a “huge hit.”
In recent weeks, BTS’s Jungkook has been traveling around promoting his debut solo album, Golden. Since BTS temporarily suspended activities due to military orders, the members have been going out on their own whenever possible.
From his stop on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to his performance on The Today Show, Jungkook has established himself as one of 2023’s breakout stars.
The standout single, “3D” starring Jack Harlow became a global hit. Currently, this collaboration has reached nearly 250 million streams on Spotify. It’s clear that the rising star is connecting in a big way.
Jungkook and Justin Timberlake collaborate on the “3D” remix
For the brand new remix, Jungkook collaborated with none other than Justin Timberlake. While the original version, starring Jack Harlow, already had an early ’00s pop aesthetic, JT’s addition elevates it even further.
“Jung and JT are in the main now / You can still find me at the drop-down / From the top but now I got so many lanes,” JT sings, opening his verse.
Although there were some detractors, the overall reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it a “successful push.”
“King of the charts,” another fan wrote.
With a crying emoji, one user exclaimed: “Unbelievable, their voices are so beautiful and oh my god.”
“They sound amazing!! better than expected, much better than the other collaboration,” Winter Bunny said, taking a dig at Jack Harlow.
User Helenelllan praised Jungkook as “the most talented artist with an amazing voice,” they wrote, adding that they “really like that he supports his idols and works with artists that He enjoys. Jungkook deserves respect. Great cooperation.”
Another user agreed and wrote: “Wow, their harmonies are POINTED! I hope we can get a behind-the-scenes look at this, I’d love to see the two masters at work.”
At the time of this writing, “3D” featuring Justin Timberlake has peaked at No. 3 on iTunes in the United States and climbed to the top of several charts around the world, including in Singapore and Malaysia. It sounded like a strong blow.
